Antonio’s finished at the top level of the game. He was always “punching”’but Moyes converting him into a striker went to his head.

The blokes living in cuckoo land.

He’s honest it ain’t working but he lack of technique is why it ain’t working.

Moyes via Nevin is the root cause. Not the brightest 2 individuals to have managing the team Imo

Re: Antonio Comments to the BBC today - it ain't working
Its fucking simple

Him, Cresswell, Coufal, Soucek, Bowen and Dawson were playing out of their skin. They've now all turned to shit and we didn't recruit ANYONE to supplement or replace them.

Trying to change into a big team my arse

Easiest team in the division to defend against.

Watched a bit of Palace tonight... they've had their problems recently but at least they play with energy. speed and flair. Likewise Leeds

Re: Antonio Comments to the BBC today - it ain't working
If he's right that we're trying to play through the thirds and we bought players to play out more, then it explains why Soucek looks shot. But are we dong that? Really ?

If.thats the plan then Moyes and team obviously cannot coach it.
We look as shit as Palace under de Boer. He lasted 4 games I think?

What's next?
Revert to type to save season. BfS?

Or risk a forward looking manager?

I don’t agree with antonio.

We haven’t really changed.

Teams have changed their approach against us.

They don’t press high as they know we will counter.

When they do we have lacked pace up top.

When teams sit back we we struggle to break down.

Man’s an idiot. All you need to know about Antonio is him lifting a cardboard cut out of himself vs Leicester after his goal.

Or crashing his car dressed as a snowman.

Or not running the ball into the corner at Palace away.

Or ……

Was ok until he started believing his own hype, get shot asap.

I don't think he is right it more we have been found out as we keep doing the same thing as the last two season and other teams know what we are trying so stop it now.

So we tried to change what we do and we can't pass to each other.

Re: Antonio Comments to the BBC today - it ain't working
He is not wrong is he, If the problem is we are trying to play out from the back. Then Moyles needs to abandon this plan and go back to what works.

I can't believe that the players that were there last season have suddenly turned to shit.

I do feel there is something going on behind the scenes, Why did Pearce and co leave ?

The last time I can remember us playing exciting football was when Moyles was off with Covid

he said months ago on his podcast with wilson that moyes sets them up every game to defend first, and only chase the game in the last ten to fifteen minutes. It's a terrible approach yet our owner seems to think it's the future

Will probably be dropped Saturday so we won't have him nor Scammaca (sick note!) :(

Re: Antonio Comments to the BBC today - it ain't working
Antonio says their recent struggles are a consequence of the past two seasons.

"I feel what we've done over the last two years we've thought, 'let's not get complacent, let's get our 40 points'. This year, at the beginning of the season, we were like, 'we were so close to the Champions League last year. We want the Champions League'," said the 32-year-old on BBC Sport's The Footballer's Football Podcast alongside Newcastle's Callum Wilson.

"We were jumping steps. We tried to change our philosophy. You can see, this season, we haven't played the same way we've been playing the last two years. We've changed it slightly. We've brought in players to play through the thirds."

West Ham finished sixth in 2020-21 - two points off the top four - to qualify for the Europa League, and ended last season seventh to make the Europa Conference League.

They reached the Europa League semi-finals last season, losing to eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt.

Antonio added: "Over the last couple of years we've not really played much possession football. We kind of sat off teams and just countered. Because we've been up there in the top six, everyone up there plays possession football. They keep the ball, try to break teams down and score more free-flowing goals.

"Teams are countering us the way we would have countered them. It's a transition. We're trying to transition to become a bigger team and, I've got to be honest, it ain't working."
